I have been working on some new virtual tours around Bristol. I really enjoy doing them and they are relatively quick and simple to do when you get going with all the software and settings etc.
I am in the process of collecting quite a few, so will hopefully make a sort of sightseeing map which can be used for tourism and offer it as a service. Here are a few of my more recent tours which I have completed while the weather is good.

Cabot Tower and Brandon Hill Park

Originally I went to Cabot Tower to get a virtual tour of the panoramic view from the top however it has scaffolding surrounding it at the moment so I will have to back when it is accessible.
Another thought I had is that google maps does a pretty good job of doing virtual tours pretty much everywhere in the U.K. So I am trying to concentrate on the areas not accessible by road.
I originally learnt how to do virtual tours while wandering around Clifton Suspension Bridge on a cloudy sunday and I have been meaning to go back and redo this one on a sunny day. This one also has a more interactive feature where you click the grey squares to be transported to the next area. Make sure you look for them as there are 4 tours linked together with the image below. I want to make it more obvious or have a different icon to represent moving to the next area but have not mastered the software yet.
I was watching the Red Nose Day Celebrities in Kibera TV Show the other night and I saw a familiar sight…… Kibera. A few years ago I went on a two week trip to Kenya and Uganda to do some Charity work for Deafblind NGO Sense International (http://www.senseinternational.org.uk/). Watching the program was very touching and bought back alot of memories, so I thought I would dig up the photos from the archive. This is a small edit from Kibera… more images from the rest of Kenya and Uganda to come.
Sense International do fantastic work all around the world helping Deafblind children learn vital life and communication skills. Please take time to visit their website to find out more.
Looking through my photographs from Africa really made me want to do some more NGO and Charity work, I am going to start to chase up contacts for another trip so watch this space………………
I have been taking photographs along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast in South Wales for years. It is mainly a therapeutic process of getting outside and taking a few photos which are not work, where there is no pressure involved.
I have been doing little bits of post to them here and there and when I had a look the other day there seemed to be a good little edit so I made a book. Please view it in full screen as it is best viewed on black.
Its snowing loads all over the UK, some places have over a foot. Wish we had a bit more in Bristol, its allways good for shooting stock aswell as a good laugh. But cant really complain because I am quite busy at the moment so at least I can drive to work.
I made a slideshow which was supposed to go on the little Tv’s on the back of the seats on Virgin Airlines flights. Unfortunately they did not use the slideshow. got my photo in a banner of their website though……… http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/allaboutus/ourstory/charity.jsp
A year or so ago I had the opportunity to shoot some photographs with the Cape Town Opera. I had not done much Theatre Photography before so was exited to give it a try.
Kiran Ridley who I was working with at the time has done lots of backstage documentary photography with various performances both Musical and Theatre, so he was covering most of the backstage stuff, but I did get a few photographs backsatge in intervals. Alot of the photographs of the performance I took are on my events gallery on my website but I didnt feel there was space to put up the backstage photographs so here are a few that I got.
I went To Crete for a two week holiday Earlier this year and was staying in my aunties apartments. It was really good to get awayu for a bit as I hadnt had a holiday abroad for a few years, I had only really been abroad to work. We were able to stay in the apartments for free which was great so I said I would take a load of pictures that my auntie can use for publicity. I didnt want to just take photos of the apartments so I traveled around for a few days on a hired quad and got lost in a few local traditional Cretan Villages. I would have liked to have taken more people pictures but I found it quite hard as many people turned me down as I was trying to relax and not use my camera too much (It was supposed to be a holiday) I didnt really persist as much as I would have done if I had been doing a travel job.
Anyway Enjoy and if you want a great place to stay in Crete look here http://www.elianaapartments.com/
